Steve Jobs steps down from the CEO position at Apple stating: “I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s C.E.O., I would be the first to let you know,” Mr. Jobs wrote. “Unfortunately, that day has come.”
I know all the haters probably feel that now Apple may have the ability to "ease up" on some of their policies and make a better experience for their customers even though Jobs will remain as Chairman of the Board.   What do the Apple fans say?

  1. There is no question that Steve Jobs has done well for Apple (despite having policies that many complain loudly about).

Over the years, people have made all kinds of suggestions for how they'd run Apple (License Mac OS, or better yet open its source, Announce their product development timeline to the world years in advance, bring their manufacturing back to the USA while slashing their prices, Expand their product line, and match every competitors bullet points in an effort to accommodate everyone's wish lists, Never drop support for legacy peripherals or software etc.) Most of these ideas if implemented would lead to disaster.

I say the longer Apple can hold on their current values, the longer they will thrive.
