That's awesome. I have s couple of PCs that are 12 years old and still running just fine (800 years, I WISH!). I wipe them every few years with images I took a long time ago. They are reals champs and are great for the basics.
True, my pld PCs work very well. I've kept them clean and did some really cheap upgrades over the years. When a Mac gets old, most of thee time, you cannot update it. You just have to buy a new Mac.
Let's be real. Who are YOU kidding? 6 years is nothing. At work we have hundreds of 8 year old machines still working perfectly. The only reason we bought a few new machines recently was to justify our budget. We are still on Windows XP because we have some old software (that the moron bosses are clinging to) that doesn't run smoothly on 7, even in compat mode. They don't even make anything like it for Mac.

ReplyDeleteThis is so true: The 'PC' always looks like a plastic piece of shit.
ReplyDeleteWell, it used to be true, but not anymore. What's still true is the statements about them. The PCs outlast Macs by a ton.
ReplyDeleteReally? Who we kidding here? We all know pc's are worthless crap after 6 years whereas macs of the same age still command goid prices
