iPod touch showing freaky graphical glitches after iOS 4.3 update?

from www.engadget.com

Another issue appears to be plaguing those who've upgraded to iOS 4.3, though thankfully this one won't make them late for work. We're seeing dozens of reports online of iPod touch users, particularly those with fourth generation models, who are seeing odd graphical glitches since updating to 4.3. These are most noticeable on the lock screen, as you can see above and in the focus-challenged video below, but people are reporting other issues as well, like overlapping icons and other pixel oddities. If you're seeing similar weirdness make sure you chime in down at the support forums...

Nice update.

  1. It's been a while and this story is just not getting traction. The problem doesn't seem to be widespread. I'm sure Apple will replace any affected units, no questions asked.

But maybe if enough haters keep beating the drums, they can turn it into "screengate". Come on, you can do it!

  3. This isn't the kind of "hate" you should be worried about people spreading. Try your crying on a site promoting racism or violence against women... toolbag.

  4. @Thomas, I guess you don't get sarcasm. This entire site is based on hate.

@Eric, I'm not worried about Apple hate. Apple is doing fine. I actually think its funny and pathetic that there are sites like this -- where every negative article about Apple is celebrated.

Apple is just a company that makes products that appeal to people who appreciate elegant simplicity and style. They may not be appropriate for everyone's needs, and that's understandable. Apple is not without its flaws, but on the whole they do well by their customers.

What is surprising is how hostile the haters are. Instead of just happily buying other products, they also feel compelled to sit on the sidelines and ridicule Apple customers, and try to make them feel bad about themselves, their purchases and the company.

Apparently, you missed Apple's PC vs Mac advertising campaign.

  6. Ok. I'll concede that that particular ad campaign was relentless, but it was more playful than cruel. It was also the product of Madison avenue, and not a grass roots effort on the part of Mac users.
